The topics above should give you a little taste of the type of the museum tours I offer.
I have led intriguing museum tours in New York, Boston, and Portland, Maine both privately and with groups.
The title of my tour is “Brushstrokes of Genius: An Artist’s Perspective on Museum Masterpieces.”
As the title indicates, visitors not only receive a bit of art history with the tour, but they also get to see and hear descriptions of paintings through the eyes of a professional artist. What was the technique the artist employed to create this masterpiece? How did the artist use composition to achieve this painting? Why did the artist choose only certain colors? Visitors will get a first-hand look at how and why an artist painted his subject.
Having visitors come to town? A group you’re associated with is looking for something interesting to do? These would be great referrals.
